Early Antique Grandfather Clock Movement Works W Bell Chime Mechanism As FoundFresh out of a southeren ohio estate, we are able to offer this early grandfather clock movement. This is not the type of thing we normally deal in, so hopefully the collectors will recognize the maker, etc. It appears to be from the early 1800's era. I od not see a maker's name or any marks on the works. It did come with, what appears to be the original brass chime bell. 10 inches tall from the base to the top of the bell by 5 inches wide by about 4 inches deep total. The wood mounting base appears to be original as well, and measures approx. 13 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide. If you have a grandfather case that needs a nice original period movement, and you have ther parts to fix it, this could be a nice find for your project. I will package this orignial antique, grandfather clock movement with great care to ensure it arrives at its new home in as seen condition. |
