Antique Scandinavian Grandfather Tall Clock C1790 NorAntique csandinavian grandfather tall clock c1790 nor. This tall clock is made in danmark the edn of the 18th century. It's a full handmade pinewood longcase, red painted, with polychrome painted pillars and rims all around. Detachable/sliding top hood with hinging front door with glass window, the sides with glass windows also, the central case with a ribbed/carved tall doro with key lock. Base case with ribbed/carved front. With handmade clockwork, the dial with signature shield peeter jenszen schou. Dial plate with silvered chapter with roman hours and arabic minutes numerals, bronze hands, the dial corners and upper part with gold painted scrolls ornaments. Early clockwork in good condition, about 8 days going work, good running, striking the full hours. Original iron wieghts and steel pendulum with brass covered led bob. The cords good (renewed), wind-up handle included. Measurements ta base/ground 19 x 10, width at top 20.5, total height 79, chapter diam. All over in good condition. |
