Antique General Electric Grandfather Clock Radio F168We are located in central pa approximately 3 hours from pittsburgh, 2.5 hours from philadelphia, 3 hours from new york city, and 2 hours from baltimore, and washington dc. This is a rare antique grandfather clock radio from the early 1900's in very good condition. The piece is very unusual as it contains a clock and tube radio in the same cabinet.
It is made by general electric. The piece appears to have all of its original parts including tubes and speaker and antenna. We have not plugged it in because the power wire needs replacing. Teh clock is extremely heavy and sturdy at likely over 100 pounds in weight. The cabinet may be mahogany with some other decorative veneers. The only damage is some minor holes in the fabric over the speaker grills. This is a very rare and interesting piece.
I was told this radio was made in 1931. H 77 w 16 d 14.
