Antique French Morbier Comtoise Grandfather Clock Antique french eight day time & strike grandfather/tall case morbier/comtoise clock circa. Recently cleaned & overhauled by a professional clocksmith. Unusual antique french eight day grandfather comtoise/morbier clock from teh 1880s, unusual as the clock was made for the tunisian market (tunisia was a french protectorate from 1881). The clock is in the original painted pine case decorated with a flowering basket, the door and the hood open to reveal a brass repousse work dial and pendulum, the dial is decorated with hunting themes and angels.
The white enamel dial is signed and has the name of the capital tunis, having two winding holes (the clock comes with a winding crank) for the time & strike, teh clock strikes the hour and half hour on a bell. The clock works fine and was just cleaned & overhauled by a professional clocksmith this clock si very tall at. A good antiuqe french grandfather morbier/comtoise clock circa 1880s.
